14a03789fa Add Nicolás Lofredo-Rota as third author
He was part of the informal project team and, per the July 2026
symposium transcript, had the discussions with Salingaros that informed
what to ask the AI for the Ecuadorian Form Language Grammar. Updates the
byline/affiliations, names him in §3.2 where he was previously
anonymized as "a Quito-based designer and self-builder", and
disambiguates the remaining "the authors" references that now need to
distinguish the two-author Track A/B comparison from the full
three-author byline.

002509f358 Fix web-search framing in form-language grammar provenance
Both the Ecuador form-language run and the Harbor House validation run
used real web search, per Salingaros - so paper.md's "stricter,
source-checked mode... as well as the original's" wording asserted a
methodological contrast that didn't exist. Reframe as a shared
condition, and add the more defensible caveat that even with search
available, current LLM tooling likely synthesized both grammars from
textual search results rather than genuine visual analysis of images.

f864004e0a Reorganize repo into method/ + projects/{ecuador-museum,harbor-house}
The repo outgrew a single-project layout: the reusable form-language
template and the draft paper about the method were mixed in with
Ecuador-specific ref/narratives/docs, and a second real project (Harbor
House) had been growing inside templates/examples/ despite no longer
being just a template demo. Split into:

- method/ - the generalized form-language prompt template and the
  paper about the method, project-agnostic
- projects/ecuador-museum/ - the original counter-proposal (ref/,
  narratives/, docs/, unchanged in content)
- projects/harbor-house/ - promoted out of templates/examples/, now a
peer project with its own ref/narratives/docs, including previously
untracked pattern subset, narrative, and illustration material

Root CLAUDE.md now covers the shared method and repo-wide conventions;
each project gets its own CLAUDE.md with project-specific brief,
inputs, and status. Updated all internal path references (paper.md,
outline.md, per-project CLAUDE.md, settings.local.json). Dropped stray
scratch files superseded by proper copies (all.txt, the already-
converted pattern-language PDF).

d127ee138a Add paired narrative excerpts and images to paper/paper.md (ecuador-0fn)
New section 4.5 quotes the corner-arrival, entrance-threshold, and
Patio-of-Origins passages from both tracks side by side (they turn out
to be near-verbatim identical, sharpening the shared-root-narrative
finding from the previous revision), each paired with one image from
each track. Track B images are added as compressed, paper-specific
copies at paper/images/ (originals in docs/images-salingaros/ are full
resolution PNGs); Track A images are referenced directly from
docs/images/.

One Track B image is used as-is despite showing hallucinated wall
signage ("Museo America Andina" instead of "Museo Nacional del
Ecuador") - kept deliberately as honest, concrete evidence for the
symposium's hallucination critique in section 5, rather than cropped
out.

ac056ae21e Revise paper draft: fix narrative provenance, hedge unverified claims
Author fact-checks on paper/paper.md:
- Site area simplified to ~13,000 m2 throughout (drop pseudo-precise
13,004.65 m2, even though it's genuinely in the official brief).
- Corrected a significant factual error: the two tracks are not fully
independent - Track A's visitor narrative and half of Track B's merge
input both descend from Salingaros' shared root narrative. Section 4
rewritten around "divergent elaborations of a shared root", with the
convergence claim re-evidenced from the material that actually is
independent (3 of 4 Track A narratives, Track B's second merge input,
  both image-generation stages).
- Attributed Salingaros' image critique-loop account as self-reported,
not independently verified, with image-numbering gaps noted only as
  circumstantial support.
- Added the authors' working hypothesis for the image-register gap:
partly a deliberate medium request (watercolour vs unconstrained),
partly that Track B's prompts carried the full pattern+form-language
text inline per image vs Track A's short distilled per-scene prompts -
  clearly hedged as unverified.
- Fixed an overclaim that symposium participants judged both image sets;
  they only saw Track B's.
- De-emphasized the plan-layout idea throughout (title, abstract, intro,
section 7, conclusion) to read as one possible future direction in
  prose, not work in progress.

dd54b87316 Add issue: embed narrative excerpts and images into paper/paper.md
Tracks a follow-up to ecuador-lco - the paper currently describes the
two narrative tracks and images only in summary form; the prose and
images are themselves part of the evidence and should be shown directly.

d72832b41f Write full prose draft of follow-up paper (ecuador-lco)
Full draft at paper/paper.md following the agreed outline: abstract,
background on the Museo Nacional competition, the form-language method
extension and its templating/validation, the two-track worked example
(Postle narrative/Midjourney vs Salingaros narrative/ChatGPT), July 23
symposium reception (including the "flavors, not solutions" critique),
drawbacks, and the proposed plan-layout future work. Reception quotes
checked against the transcript; content adapted from Salingaros' partial
process-report article where applicable. Not yet submission-ready --
needs author review and a formal reference list.

1f7b366e3f Move Sheffield form-language test out of docs/ into templates/examples/
docs/ is Ecuador-specific per CLAUDE.md; this Harbor House (Sheffield)
document is an unrelated worked example of form-language-prompt-template.md,
kept as evidence the template generalizes beyond its Ecuador origin.

69fac379a9 Add follow-up paper outline draft (ecuador-lco)
Outline covers the plan-layout extension paper: method extension with
form-language layer, worked example as two independent tracks, July 23
symposium reception, drawbacks, and next steps. Section 4 flags that
Salingaros' ChatGPT images read as more compelling/photo-realistic than
Postle's Midjourney set (cause unknown) and that the paper should draw
primarily on the Salingaros set; follow-up tracked as ecuador-gup.

a3a3598919 Fix form-language template: vernacular strata, natural materials default
Sheffield/Harbor House drafting exposed two gaps: the template let a
historical stratum be anchored by a single celebrated/architect-authored
building (Park Hill) instead of a genuine building culture, and let
modern structural materials (reinforced concrete) into the vocabulary
without requiring a structural-necessity justification. Tightens the
HISTORICAL_STRATA placeholder guidance, the vocabulary/negative-constraint
instructions, and the Appendix instruction to close both gaps.

b259252cea Add generalized form-language prompt template
Distills the two-step Salingaros prompting process (docs/salingaros-form-language-prompt.md)
that produced ref/Ecuadorian_Form_Language_Grammar.md into a reusable, placeholder-driven
prompt template for any region/site/typology, in templates/. Addresses failure modes not
present in the original worked example: unverified "search" claims, region-scale incoherence,
missing buildability/code-compliance disclaimer, and unscoped cultural-sensitivity risk around
sacred/ceremonial motifs.

Closes ecuador-vay.

fdc27ecf2f Document Salingaros' parallel narrative/image/article material in CLAUDE.md
Salingaros ran his own independent version of the pattern-language method
(narrative, ChatGPT images, process-report article) in parallel with our
narratives/ -> docs/counter-proposal.md pipeline. Records what each new
file is and how it relates to our deliverable, and removes the earlier,
superseded draft of his process-report article.

3cea6e0ae6 Update CLAUDE.md to reflect the illustrated presentation document
The Method, Deliverable, Reference material, and Status sections were
written before docs/counter-proposal.md, docs/illustration-prompts.md, and
the embedded illustrations existed, and still said image generation was
"out of scope" and narratives were the sole deliverable. Brings these
sections up to date: we write image prompts and embed externally-generated
images, docs/ now holds the public presentation document and its docx
export process, and Status reflects the pipeline being complete.

284800a750 Fix indoor/outdoor weather ambiguity in interior illustration prompts
Interior scenes (Great Hall, circulation gallery, Corredor of Time)
described rain/puddles without clearly anchoring them to an exterior
view, causing generated images to show puddles indoors. Each now
states the interior stays completely dry, with wetness confined to a
glimpsed exterior view, plus a reinforcing "absolutely avoid" clause.

6934455579 Embed the 13 generated illustrations into the counter-proposal document
Adds the AI-generated images (from the prompts in
docs/illustration-prompts.md) into docs/counter-proposal.md in place of
the illustration placeholders. Full-resolution PNG originals are kept in
docs/images/originals/ for future high-quality use; docs/images/*.jpg are
downscaled-quality copies embedded in the document and docx export to
keep file size reasonable for email.

17619f7fa6 Add self-contained AI image-generation prompts for the counter-proposal's illustrations
docs/illustration-prompts.md gives one fully self-contained prompt per
illustration placeholder in docs/counter-proposal.md (13 images total,
some placeholders covering two distinct scenes). Each prompt has the full
shared style guide - warm watercolor/gouache medium, fixed post-storm
lighting, the material/color palette, ornament placement rules, and a
consistent, non-stereotyped cast of people - pasted literally inline
rather than cross-referenced, so any single prompt can be copied straight
into an image generator on its own and still produce an image consistent
with the rest of the set.

56227420c5 Combine all four stakeholder narratives into a single presentation document
docs/counter-proposal.md brings the visitor, staff, school-group, and
community narratives together in full, under one preamble, as the document
intended for publication and illustration. Strips pattern numbers, grammar
codes, and ref/ provenance citations that belonged to the drafting process,
but keeps every narrative's full length and detail rather than condensing -
this is a presentation of the work, not a summary of it.

606463d621 Condense brief, mine critique failures, extract chassis, write all four narratives
Completes the full pipeline from CLAUDE.md's Process section: official brief
distilled to genuine human-needs facts with full National Collection detail
(ref/brief-condensed.md); named failures mined from the critique transcript
and mapped to countering patterns (ref/critique-failures.md); shared design
invariants extracted from Salingaros's contributed narrative and reconciled
against the brief (ref/project-chassis.md); and all four stakeholder
narratives drafted and cross-checked for pattern/brief/grammar fidelity and
mutual consistency (narratives/01-visitor.md through 04-community.md).

Plans the remaining CLAUDE.md pipeline (condense brief incl. National Collection

chassis from Nikos Salingaros's contributed narrative, adapt/write 4 stakeholder
narratives, cross-check for consistency) as a tracked epic with dependencies.
